Review : A lot of features packed into a great product
I bought this stereo to replace the factory system in my 2002 Corvette. The Alpine itself works flawlessly. I love all of the features packed that Alpine has put into this product. The challenge that I had was interfacing the Alpine to my factory Bose system. Thus far, I am not totally satisfied with the sound of the Alpine with the factory speakers but I believe that it because of the interface with the factory Bose system rather than the Alpine itself. So it is still a work in progress. I had thought that I had done my homework as far as getting all of the necessary items to properly interface the Alpine with the factory wiring harness but I missed the fact that the connector for the GM antenna cable is different than the plug for the antenna cable supplied with the Alpine. Why GM decided to change the connector type is anyone's guess. Just one thing that one needs to keep in mind when at least trying this use this in a GM car. The adapter is not expensive to get so that is...
I believe, explains the few grievance respecting CDE-HD137BT - Alpine In-Dash 1DIN CD/MP3/USB Receiver with Bluetooth and HD Radio not fitting or leaking.
