Been looking at these around the web for a while for my 2001 audi Allroad (based on the A6). Amazon has a good price, and I was even able to score an open box unit at a substantial discount. it shipped super fast, and I was stuck waiting for my stereo removal tools to come in. This gave me time to update the firmware on the unit.
I did a dry run hookup of everything on my lunch break after receiving the stereo removal tools, you need 4 of them to pull the Audi Symphony I unit out of the dash. Hooking it up is a no brainer, but I found that to have the steering wheel controls change the track on my iPhone 4S (yes it works, and on the latest IOS6, AND with Pandora!) I had to set the both of the 2 DIN switches on the DICE unit to '2'. I also just connected the ground wire to a random screw into metal on the top of the Symphony stereo.

The connector to the phone kind of crappy and huge. It won't work with any case on your phone. Also, it is proprietary, so if it breaks,...
