I have only had this product a very short time but based on what has happened so far here's the review. I had the receiver unit that was below the grade of this unit while still a Marine rated receiver it only lasted one outing. With this receiver while reluctant to order it, I did so to give Kenwood one more try. In the past Kenwood is always been a great product and was I hoping that I had just had my only Kenwood dud. Needless to say this unit plugged right in to the existing wiring which made it nice. The one major thing I want to recognize is the built-in protection the Receiver has. I run a trickle charger on my boat 24/7 and the radio apparently does not appreciate the voltage that the trickle charger applies to the battery system. This could have been the downfall of my first subpar Kenwood unit. This new unit when I turn the radio on with the trickle charger on the batteries, told me that it was in the PROTECTED mode. When I unhooked the trickle charger and waited about 30...
